Introduction of Poliya Poligranule

Poliya Polygranule is based on isophthalic unsaturated polyester. Colored chips of particles (granules) are used to obtain granite products with a beautiful appearance.

Important points regarding the use of Poliya Poligranule

• You can use granules by casting method or spray with gelcoat
• The colors listed are for preview only and not as a guide
• The true colors of the granule are only visible when wetted with polyester resin or gelcoat.
• 10 to 300 grams can be added to gelcoat, polyester resin and epoxy resin (the amount should not be more than 30%), and up to 5% of color paste can be added (as desired)
• For spraying, it is better to use a smaller size and it should be done slowly.

General reaction:

2H2 + O2 + SiCl4 → SiO2 + 4HCl

A hydrogen flame containing SiCl4 burns continuously in the reaction chamber. With the formation of water, a spontaneous and small reaction is carried out with SiCl4 in the flame and produces the desired hydrochloric acid gas and silicon dioxide.

Fumed silica forms in a fraction of a second in a flame. A mixture of gases and solids (SiO2 particles) containing hydrochloric acid is produced. This aerosol must first be cooled before being separated into solids and gases in the next step. The solid still contains relatively large amounts of hydrochloride, which is adsorbed on the surface of the particles.
